Samsung has different locks:

  • Network / NCK: Network lock
  • Provider / SPCK: Service Provider Lock
  • SubProvider / PCK: Provider lock
  • (DE)FREEZE / MCK: Unfreeze code
  • Extra / RGCK: Region unlock code

All codes are 8 digits long and are unique to your phone.

General instructions (will work for most Samsung phones):

  1. Turn off your Samsung phone
  2. Insert a non-accepted sim card (different from the original carrier).
  3. Turn on the phone.
  4. Slide to unlock and phone will ask for the unlock code
  5. Enter the unlock code you received from www.unlockineed.org
Your phone is now fully unlocked!

If you get ‘Network Unlock Unsuccessful’ message, don’t worry. This is a very common problem and there are different ways to solve it.

We explain this below:

If the phone shows the message ‘Phone Freeze’ with an unauthorized sim, this means someone already has tried wrong codes many times and has hardlocked the phone. You will need a defreeze (also called unfreeze or stuck code). If the defreeze code was not sent to you, please contact us.

If you enter an Unauthorized Sim Card and phone does not prompt to enter Unlock Code and your Samsung is android, Go to the dial screen and press #7465625*638*# Once prompted for code, enter 8 digit Unlock Code provided by our website.

Or

If you see “No Valid Sim Card” after you insert an Unauthorized Sim Card, remove the Unauthorized Sim Card and use the Authorized Sim Card or with NO Sim Card and follow this instruction;

  1. Type #7465625*638*CODE# (CODE is the Unlock Code we sent you).
  2. Phone deactivated message means its unlocked.

Or

  1. Switch ON the phone without a Sim Card (if this does not work try with a Unauthorized Sim Card first and if necessary try an Authorized Sim Card).
  2. Type: #0111*CODE# (CODE is the Unlock Code we sent you).

Region lock informations

If your phone is region locked you need to remove this first. A region lock is activated if you buy a phone in one region (e.g. Europe) and take it to another region (e.g. USA) without first using the original provider for 5 minutes (calling any number). Most new phones with Android 4.3 or higher come with region lock and you can also recognize it from the following sticker on the box of the phone: click here to see sticker image.
